Diploma in Purchasing & Supply Management

A purchasing and supply manager, a business service buyer, or procurement professional (the terms are pretty interchangeable) basically buys goods and services and takes a strategic approach to business goals.

Learning Objectives

To provide learners with:

  • An understanding of the economic, legal and fiscal environments within which all businesses operate
  • A detailed knowledge of the supply, storage and purchasing functions
  • An understanding of the way in which business organisations are structured, managed and administered
  • Numerate and analytical skills for purchasing, stores management and supply decision purposes.

Requirements

  • One GCE A-level plus three GCSEs (or equivalents) or 5 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate examinations (CSEC)
  • A suitable BTEC National Award
  • Any other qualification and/or work experience can be considered as evidence of the above
